Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 October 2026 · Cue is in beta.

These terms are an agreement between you and Melanvi ("we") about using Cue. By creating an account, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy. Who runs Cue is in the Legal notice (Aviso legal).

Age

You need to be 14 or older to create an account, the age at which Spanish law lets you agree to data use yourself. Younger people can use Cue without an account: we don't create a profile, don't keep scores or lists on our servers, and don't learn from what they do.

The service

Cue suggests movies based on your mood and taste. It's a free beta: features may change, break or be removed, and we may limit usage (for example, a daily number of chat messages) to keep it running fairly.

Your account

You need to be at least 16. Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app, and we may suspend accounts that misuse Cue.

Fair use

Don't try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer Cue, use it to harass anyone, or use the chat for anything unlawful or unrelated to finding something to watch.

AI suggestions

Suggestions are generated automatically and can be wrong, for example about a movie's content, age rating or where it's streaming. Check details like age ratings yourself before watching, especially with children.

Reviews you write

You can publish reviews of films you've watched. They are public under your nickname, and you can edit or delete them at any time. You keep the rights to what you write; you allow Cue to show it in the app for as long as it stays published.

Keep reviews about the film: no hate, harassment, personal data about others, spam or links, and put endings behind the "Talks about the ending" switch. Anyone can report a review. Reported reviews may be hidden while we look, and we remove reviews that break these rules. If you think we got it wrong, write to cue@melanvi.com.

Popcorn for reviews, applause and tips has no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.

The Cue Review

The essays labelled "The Cue Review" are written by an AI critic and are opinions, not statements of fact. They can be wrong. Cue holds back any essay the critic itself marks as unreliable. If you spot a mistake, write to cue@melanvi.com.

Movie data

Movie information and images come from TMDB, and where-to-watch information from JustWatch via TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Trailers are played from YouTube. These belong to their respective owners.

No warranty

Cue is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim about Cue is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or €50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; if a change matters, we'll tell you in the app first. You can stop using Cue and delete your account whenever you like.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without taking away protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
